Default Enda - Merkel Meeting EU Presidency

Enda is off to meet with the German Kaiser Angela Merkel in Berlin today to discuss Ireland's 2013 EU Council Presidency which begins on January 1st .

He will be taking the Government Jet which costs €3,790 an hour to fly , it has previously being reported that Enda has accounted for almost half of the money spent on flying ministers around since they came to power . Link

My question is this , why did Enda not discuss the Presidency a couple of weeks ago when he met Merkel at the EU summit in Brussels on 18/19 october or why could he not just pick up the telephone like he did with the sovereign debt talks . Is it really that important that it merits spending thousands of euro of hard pressed taxpayers money ?

Good man Mr D: I was wondering how long it would take the loopers and the looneys to jump on this one. Enda must be really doing a good job when you drag this old chestnut up. It is very important that the Taoiseach meets Mrs Merkel face to face.

By the way calling her kaiser is really puerile and does nothing to support such a shallow infantile inane thread.

But wait. By the end of the day you will have the usual followers making the same point. Such predictability and lack of substance in boring.

Is everyone that criticizes the govt to be labelled as a looney or looper ( or FF/Shinner etc..)

Its getting tiresome at this stage.

Of course you just happened to ignore his use of the government jet... god forbid he might have to get a regular flight.

but hey they're all looneys and loopers right?

Newsticker on Bild.de states that Merkel has promised Ireland help but did not state if Ireland was to get a special deal.
Mrs. merkel also repeated that Ireland is a special situation.

Angela loves slapping down Enda so she keeps suggesting meetings,
Enda keeps going along because he think he will get something.

Enda being kept on a short leash each time.

Would be funny if it wasn't so pathethic with FGers spinning it
    all the time.

Off to Germany at the Irish taxpayers expense to receive his orders for his 6 month stint. More empty rhetoric, more lies, more spin and more empty promises. He look more and more like Chamberlain, coming back from aboard with nothing more than intentions.

He has been traveling a lot and doing a good job representing the country.

His govt are far from perfect but they are making progress and Enda is performing as well as any Taoiseach in the past 25 years.

But lets crib and moan about the government jet. That'll make you feel good as it will give you your fix of begrudery for the day. Always the small picture never the big.
