Default Cait Trainor arrested for opposing Internment

RSF Ard Comhairle member was committed to prison on Saturday while attending a POW protest in Armagh. This was in relation to her previous conviction for attending a protest against the internment of Martin Corey, and her subsequent refusal to pay the fine.

I see that the response to protests against internment is to have those engaged in peaceful protest arrested and imprisoned. Some democracy eh?

The statement linked to is the CPIR, not the CPI.

What aspect of the story about imprisoning peaceful protesters do you object to? Do you support internment?

Seems like he's not the only one. A leading member of a political organisation imprisoned for peaceful protest and this ends up in the zoo.

Write a better OP or improve this one and the thread might just be restored.

Have amended it to set out all the salient facts. Perhaps not the most sophisticated question ever, but its an important one none the less, is this the kind of democracy that people support, internment, and imprisonment for peaceful protest.
