The UK Prime Minister, David Cameron, has threatened to Veto the EU budget unless it sacks staff and cuts the pay of over 4000 people on six-figure salaries.
I can't see any fault in this as everyone in the EU is expected to introduce austerity and subject their populations to austerity. That is of course with the exception of the EU powers that be and other politicians.
Of course we all know that Cameron would not Veto anything to do with Europe now don't we? Apparently the budget is something that has not been taken over (yet) by QVM.
David Cameron threatens to veto EU budget unless Brussels sacks staff - TelegraphDavid Cameron has vowed to get "tough" with Europe, as he threatened to veto the EU budget unless it sacks staff and cuts the pay of 4,000 officials on six-figure salaries.
Speaking after a two-day summit, Mr Cameron directly challenged the EU to take "more rigorous" action to cut costs or face another veto from the UK.
Mr Cameron said his "favourite" fact about Brussels over-spending is that 16 per cent of administrative staff at the European Commission earn more than €100,000 or more than £80,000 a year.
The European Commission has asked for a higher budget that would cost Britain an extra £10 billion over seven years and repeatedly ignored requests from member countries to reduce staffing costs.
