Default Michael Collins film on TG4, what does this film mean to you?

Neil Jordans film Michael Collins is on TG4 at the minute. I also see that it is well up the Twitter trends so it shows many people are talking about it at the minute. What does this film mean to the posters of Politics.ie?

I have always enjoyed the film and always remember being shown it in Primary school. I will always watch it no matter when it is on. One of the best Irish films of all time. Many people believe it is FG propaganda but I feel its is just a film about the man. some people may beg to differ.

One of the greatest Irishmen of all time. Wish there were more like him. That the blueshirts in today's Ireland, a bunch of sniveling euro grovelers lay claim to him should be a cause of shame,

As a film it is quite good and entertaining too. From an historical perspective I personally, was a bit disappointed. I felt Collins' true brilliance and genius was not relayed.

Depends on when I watch it really. It can be entertaining but is grossly inaccurate in parts, would not really alter an evening so I could see it on television.

    Terrible film.

Alas as a movie fan I'd watch Neeson in anything. Great actor.

Exactly as intended, pretty much regardless of the truth.
