Arrogant and hypocrytical comment from a Minister...surprise surprise it's Martin Cullen1Who does he think he is questioning our rights as citizens?I wish he'd shown such regard for public money during the past three years

As there is a Battle Royal brewing over the attempt to run a motorway through Tara see this as the opening Salvo of the Political Establishment's attempt to vilify those who up stand up to this projected Cultural Vandalism.

I'm glad he has says this-with the Bertie Bath leaking taxpayers money, this will totally backfire. Have FF lost all sense of good PR? Something along the lines of 'we could have more infrastructure like this if these projects weren't stopped by court action'. But to use the 'wasting money' arguement, that's just absurd!

It's just a freaking distraction cos he can't make his mind up on the Dublin Rail Plan, or else he can't persuade his colleagues.

This is typical Fianna Fail nonsense. Blaming "obstructors" to draw attention away from their own incompetence and often veniality when it comes to infrastructure projects, from the Carrickmines and Tara fiascos, where in both cases there was strong professional advice to take alternative routes to the ones proposed, to the murky dealings involved in the Rossport (state sanctioned) robbery of the nations natural resources, where no independent risk assessment has taken place.
If FF (and their governmental partners in crime) actually approached infrastructural projects in an honest and competent manner their would be far, far less people attempting to obstruct "development".

If FF want to see why they are accused of hypocrisy, arrogance and brass necked ignorance they need only look at this pronouncement from the supreme waster himself.
