Default Sinn Fein's economic policy discredited by impartial Economic Expert on The Frontline

After watching the Frontline. The Economist totally discredited SF's proposal, and Pearse Doherty didn't have an answer, it was clear to everyone that he has been spoofing and is completely out of his depth.

Sinn Fein's surge will not last for long and at a crucial time with the election approching.

We can hand your ass to ya on any number of other threads. What's the point of setting up another one?

Brian Lenihan sounded pretty convinced by it ... not the "impartial expert" but Pearse --

On The Frontline just now, in response to questions from Pat Kenny on the Danish bond haircuts and to the figure quoted of €20 billion in unguaranteed bank bonds (previously mentioned by Sinn Fein’s Pearse Doherty), Brian Lenihan said the following: “We put the €20 billion that Pearse is talking about on the table in the EU-IMF negotiations. The ECB ruled it out. But it’s still there in debate, it’s still there in discussion. And we’re pressing for a substantial discount there and for burden sharing.”

Yes, as Lenihan said it was on the table but they refused it, where Sinn Fein are discredited is on the small issue of telling the IMF/EU that we don't want their money.
It makes no sense and Pearse didn't have an answer he just tried the old populist' people out their are hurting' well listen here the country would be bust if we went with SF's proposal.

Let's be real it's only a ploy, to gain voters that are hurting but don't understand economics, but now I hope people are beginning to realise we need real solutions

Pearse was so out of his dept. Towards the end he kept raising his hand slightly as if he wanted to say something. Pity Pat didn't see this and ask him what he wanted to say!

Brian Lenihan has a track record of following the "best advice" from impartial economists.

It wasn't clear to this view that Doherty didn't have an answer. It seemed clearer to me that Pat Kenny wouldn't let him finish his sentences or create any kind of context for what he wanted to say.

    of course it's nonsense

    but SF don't care

they are tapping right into the mood of the nation

They know they will never get the finance portfolio so will never be held to their claims.

It's vote getting. And I'd say it's working.

And Pearse was never out of his depth really. Moan Burton is.

If as someone elese has suggested that this economist had been an advisor to CJ Haughey -then theres little impartial about him.

Secondly- Ringo-Fail -arent you the same guy that kept posting against Doherty during the recent Donegal byelection campaign -who are you to judge last nights debate when you are as partisan as they come -and know in your heart that Doherty will top the poll again at the expense of your own falling soldier candidate.

People are not stupid and the neutrals viewing that show last night would have seen through the game of lets all get Doherty. He was the only one there with balls and even that FF economist admitted he'd like to see the shinners doing the negociating with the IMF/EU!

Question Ringo-Fail -why is it when other economists say the SF approach is the correct one -all you guys suddenly go silent?
