I really hope john bruton will run in meath east in the next election, he is very respected by all the young Fg tds. once back in the dail he could be Taiseach again in a year or two.

He would really make a difference and bring some credibility back to government. There are few politicians about whom the same could be said. Plus, it would be one state car less required.

For Gods sake leave him where he is. A minister of Finance who brought down a government and lost power over the price of a pair of shoes. Born on a big farm educated in Clongowes, simply to grand to talk to the one socialist in the Dail on the evening of the vote.

Funny how thanks to Bertie, John Unionist Bruton looks like a stateman. Don't know why people get upset with Enda, FG haven't produced a decent leader in generations.

Whereas the last three FF leaders have resigned in disgrace, and the current one will resign after bankrupting the country. You're hardly in a position to lecture anyone about leadership.
"So how are things at the Campaign for the Freedom of Information, by the way?" "Sorry, I can't talk about that"

He will certainly come in useful for après-toilet duties when Her Majesty arrives.
