Default Protect the "Body Politic" at all costs

I have to start this post by admitting that I don't rate Chris Andrews, but I've largey tried to ignore that fairly useless strain of FF DNA over the past decade.

What's got me more than usually annoyed by this unimpressive TD is his latest rant on Drive Time yesterday evening that FF and FG are the same and should form the next government in order to preserve the (and I quote) "Body politic". Basically it's just dawned on him that he's likely to be out of a job and that for the first time ever being 3rd generation FF may actually be a handicap as opposed to the fast track to a cushy number.

Now - maybe the media of radio hid the fact that his tounge was firmly in his own cheek for a change, but itjust beggars belief that he thinks people (either in FG or the general pblic) would allow this travesty of democracy to allow FF to stay in gov for another two years to enable him feather his nest....all on the name of protecting the Body politic of course.

    Chris Andrews is an idiot.

However, there are people of similar beliefs on both sides of FF / FG. I wud love to see some kind of mish mash thrown together of all the entrepeneur types in both parties who fancy themselves as entrepeneurs first and politicans second who care about the direction of the country. I can imagine Andrews, McGuiness, Coveney, Varadkar sitting down around a table trying to save our economy.

It would be a bit like the stonecutters meeting in the Simpsons.

Why would Andrews believe any different. He has grown up seeing, by observing his own family, that FF get what they want and that the irish people are, as a nation, gob************************es. How can you blame the man for beliveing a theory he has seen proven every day of his life.

    Agree with these views.

FF need to be annihilated, purged and sent into Opposition for at least 2 terms.

    Careerists lock, stock and barrel.
And FG not much better. Or Labour. Or PDs. Shinners crap. Indos usually worse than all of them.

    The 'body politic' stinks.

It is important that the shift to Labour and FG continues and away from FF.
    The country needs a clear right-centre/ left-centre choice or FG/FF & Labour/SF/Greens.

At the moment it looks like Labour and FG can only take enough seats to go into coalition together. The temptation to go in with FF will be there but surely they both know better than that!

It would be better if one of them was on the opposition benches as the leading opposition party with FF in a distant 3rd.

Yes he's exactly right, they're all crooked, whoever returns any of them wants their heads testing. We can have a better 'body politic' than this shower of careerist gombeens I'm sure.

FF and FG are not the same in policy or in character but he is correct if he means they have more in common as members of the political status quo than they have with the vast majority of the electorate. He probably genuinely thinks that the preservation of our political system as-is is essential for the recovery of the nation (as well as his own prospects). The political system is completely out of touch and needs reform bordering on revolution.
