Default Press TV - "White House seeks to remove Obama"

Ah yes, that Friday feeling. Plus this article should rattle a few Obamatron cages to boot.

A US analyst says some officials in the White House and the administration are considering legal action to remove Barack Obama from presidency.

"Right now, there is discussion in Washington and within the government of using the 25th amendment to the US Constitution to remove Obama from office," Edward Spannaus from Executive Intelligence Review said in an interview with Press TV on Friday.

The amendment allows for removing the president if he/she has incapacity either physically or mentally.

"In this case, Obama is mentally incapable of fulfilling the office of president," Spannaus went on to say.

Referring to Obama's plummeting popularity, mostly due to the recent economic collapse in the US, Spannaus said, "There is no way that his presidency could be salvaged at this point and it does not really make any difference who wins the congressional elections."

"He was not qualified to be the president in the first place. He was put in there precisely because he would act as a puppet and they knew he would be a puppet for Wall Street, for the London financiers and for the British," Spannaus added.

A recent survey from Gallup has revealed that more than half of American voters would not support the incumbent US president's re-election.

All smoke and mirrors IMO. Incompetence is not an impeachable offense. Abuse of power or failure to uphold his responsibilities in regard to his oath of office, are impeachable offenses. Even if his administration did in fact offer Joe Sestak a job in order to drop out of the US Senate race - which is an impeachable offense, it will never be proven that the offer came from the President. (And if Sestak loses to Toomey next month, maybe Joe should have taken that job offer that was never given ). Also, in regards to impeachment, two-thirds of the senators must vote for conviction, and that won’t happen. Our best bet to stop the devastation of the country, orchestrated by this President’s agenda, is for the GOP to make great strides in the November election, stop his future far left judicial appointments that he will make in order to legislate from the bench if in fact the Democrats lose control of Congress, and ultimately make a permanent change come 2012.

You just gotta love the genesis of this story.

Executive Intelligence Review is the news journal of the LaRouche movement - variously described as Fascist, Marxist or Cultish, but always antisemitic and happy to follow every conspiracy which can be peddled. For example, the LaRouche crowd have claimed in recent memory that Elizabeth II is the head of international drugs smuggling ring, and that the Oklahoma City bombing was the first-strike in a revanchist Hanoverian-UK invasion of the US.

Ed Spannaus stood trial with Lyndon LaRouche for federal mail fraud and defrauding the Inland Revenue Service in the 1980s, he was convicted of the mail fraud (which phrase covers a whole lot in US federal law) and served half of a five year sentence.

So the lunatic ravings of a convicted fraudster are published in the journal of a demented conspiracist movement, which is in turn rebroadcast by PressTV - the international face of Iran's unhinged political masters - and you think this is a serious story?

Whence your usual conspiracist nonsense? Lyndon's mailing list? Or his laughable publications?
