    Default Gay genes in animals

    Seems its not just humans...

King penguins do not form long-term homosexual pairs despite same-sex "flirting", one of the first evidence-based studies has revealed.

Researchers found that over a quarter of the birds in one colony displayed in same-sex pairs, yet only two pairs bonded by learning each other's calls and both were later seen caring for eggs in heterosexual pairs.

I think there are recorded examples of homosexuality in nearly all species.
Will dig up links for you later.

A gay gene seems unlikely, hardly going to be a widely inherited trait. Just an observation.

There is lot's of homosexuality in animals, besides the obvious ones like dolphins and pygmy chimps (both seem happy to shag anything that moves) there's a load of random examples. I think San Francisco Zoo had a gay animal thing a few years ago. I searched for it on google but it's old and the results all seem to be about a gay penguin pair they had that have split up and to be honest I'm not looking to deeply into "gay+animal" results on google, my mind's messed up enough without randomly clicking that stuff.

Anyone know if the gene has been isolated in humans considering it is genetic that is!
