Default Could Lee Oswald have really killed JFK?

Below is a video segment from a 1967 CBS documentary which examines whether Lee Harvey Oswald, the alleged assassin of President John F. Kennedy could have fired 3 shots with his bolt action rifle in less than 6 secs and hit a moving target.

Below is a segment of an animation created by Dale Myers based on the famous Zapruder film showing what Oswald would have seen through his rifle scope.

Below is a drawing showing how President Kennedy and Governor Connally were struck by a single bullet.

This diagram shows how Kennedy was struck by a final fatal shot to the head.

Well in nearly 50 years a truely credible alternative has not emerged. If there are others out there that did it then many people were very good at keeping secrets for a long time.

The lee enfield was capable of firing 15 to 30 aimed shots per minute.

Even though Oswald wasn't using a Lee Enfield it's well within the bounds of possibility.

He was a marine, and a trained rifleman.

That's first shot at zero, and two shots within the next 6 seconds. Well achievable.

    Origin of the "mad minute"

The fast-operating Lee bolt-action and large magazine capacity enabled a well-trained rifleman to perform the "Mad minute" firing 20 to 30 aimed rounds in 60 seconds, making the Lee-Enfield the fastest military bolt-action rifle of the day. The current world record for aimed bolt-action fire was set in 1914 by a musketry instructor in the British Army—Sergeant Instructor Snoxall—who placed 38 rounds into a 12-inch-wide (300 mm) target at 300 yards (270 m) in one minute.
Longer range than Oswald allegedly fired at.

Personally I think the Oswald story stinks, but we gotta get the facts in perspective first. 3 well aimed shots in 6 seconds is not impossible.

You might be interested in listening to this speech by the famous prosecution attorney Vincent Bugliosi who wrote a definitive book on the assassination called Reclaiming History. He is convinced of Oswald guilt but is dismayed that the overwhelming majority of the American public believe there was a conspiracy and the same overwhelming majority have never read the Warren Commission Report which should have laid those suspicions to rest.

There's a good amount of the main points discussed in the above link.

People who say it was Oswald are either ignorant of the facts, fools or knaves.
Cowardice asks the question - is it safe? Expediency asks the question - is it politic?
Vanity asks the question - is it popular? But Conscience asks the question - is it right?
And there comes a time when one must take a position that is neither safe, nor politic, nor popular;but one must take it simply because it is right. -MLK

Why is this being left on the open forum, when a thread on the Bilderberg Group was binned?

Read Case Closed by Gerald Posner, and it's impossible to believe in anything other than the Lone Gunman after that.

Case Closed : Lee Harvey Oswald and the Assassination of JFK: Amazon.co.uk: Gerald L. Posner: Books

In particular, Posner debunks all the myths of Oliver Stone's JFK. The Jim Garrison that emerges from this book was just another crooked lawyer on the make.
