Default Swine flu "Worst strain ever" this winter.

As if things can't get worse.

Medical experts warned swine flu will be the worst strain of the virus this winter as the seasonal vaccination campaign began today.

Reading the piece, it sounds like the headline is bit of a scare story - the whole article is more about the HSE vaccination campaign then the Swine Flu virus itself. There's no mention of clinical indicators - showing why this season's virus is the "worst ever".

It's a miracle as a smoker I survived the Bird Flu let alone Swine Flu

In a few years time it will likely be mouse flu or hedgehog flu.....

Isn't there an enquiry still ongoing involving certain members of WHO and certain pharmacutical companies regarding last year's KILLER SWINE FLU?

Yeah, I remember reading one of the main WHO dudes who was promoting the threat turned out to have a significant interest in the company who was making the vaccines.

If the group doing the warning (i.e. the medical industry) are the group trying to make money from the warning, you should take their words with a pinch of salt.

You apply the same filter to estate agents, so you should apply it to the medical community too.

It's not even available to non-at-risk groups, so it can't be that bad. That said, my friend's son got it last winter and he was laid up for several weeks and even lost the job he was due to start.
