Default Former FG Minister Gemma Hussey says Enda Kenny should be asked to go quietly

Former Government Minister Gemma Hussey has posted a message on twitter suggesting that someone needs to ask Enda Kenny to go quietly. In her message posted earlier this morning she refers to the current FG leader as "a good and decent man".

Her message says the party needs a new energetic team which she says should include party finance spokesman Micheal Noonan.

    A FG dinosaur speaks.

Maybe they should make Noonan leader?

Do these people learn anything from history?

Anyone remember when they were saying John Bruton should go quietly?

Who could disagree? All that nonsense that FGers came up with that Enda would be seen in a different light after seeing off the heave is just coming back to haunt them. Kenny is a decent man and he should know what is best for FG and the country. I expect an announcement within 72 hours.

Agreed, but don't expect an announcement - Big Phil & Dr James need Enda given how they behaved post heave, so they won't be asking him to go.

The obvious writ large (and in less than whatever number of characters it is).

To sum up those who oppose Kenny's leadership. Kenny is a decent honest man, but the people don't seem to want that at the moment?

So they want a crooked corrupt leader of FG instead who will give the people what they want and engage in auction politics and corrupting of all around them?

Now more than ever we need decent honest politicians.

Be careful what you wish for, it just might come true.

    Ahem ...
I think they want someone who looks more convincing.

Just cos Enda is decent and honest, it doesn't mean there are no other decent, honest people in FG capable of leading it ... or does it?

EDIT: and I don't think anyone's asking Enda to retire from politics.

If FG would just unite behind their leader, ditch the mutterings, get out on the street and say Enda is the man then I believe the people would follow. But the media seems to dominate. McCreevey, the megalomaniac Ahern & Tribal Cowen have done this country untold damage. Yet the media for forever and a day bash FG and especially Kenny. And now Fg seem to believe it all. The seeds of doubt have been sown.

Im 28 years old and I truly think Kenny could be an excellent Taoiseach.

His performances are nowhere near as bad as Cowen's & Bertie's.

We get what we deserve in this country.

Don't think much of your standards.

The two most important positions in govt, are arguably Taoiseach and Finance. In FG these positions are occupied by two individuals who where both rejected by the electorate once. What on earth were FG thinking?
