Default Iceland to try former Prime Minister over Financial Crisis

RT News: Former Iceland PM facing bank crisis charges

He apologised for being "partly responsible" for the collapse in the country.

The country has a special court in Landsdomur to try ministers accused of crimes.

Any chance of this happening in Ireland?

Maybe that's the difference. In Iceland, politicians who contribute to a financial meltdown resign and are soon after put on trial.

In Ireland, failed Ministers or Prime Ministers are promoted or allowed resign with fat pensions, despite having being central to our collapse.
