Default Struggling Cowen to meet the propaganda chief of the Chinese communist party

Brian Cowen is known to have PR problems. Cowen doesn't have an open, engaging approach with the media, indeed his chief spin doctor is a combative ex military man

Now Cowen is meeting the Chinese politiburo member with responsibility for propaganda

Senior Chinese official for talks with Cowen - The Irish Times - Mon, Sep 27, 2010
THE MOST senior Chinese politician to visit Ireland since prime minister Wen Jiaboa in 2004 will hold meetings today with the President and with the Taoiseach.

Rumours from the meeting suggest that the Western Brigade may be rededicated to "information defense"

They should have sent along tonic and Sailor: they could use a few tips in the arts of disinformation and black propaganda as their current contributions are hopeless.

No mention of human rights. No mention of Tibet. Sickening but not unexpected.

Considering their lack of respect for human rights in Rossport and with the Shannon Renditions, it's not that much of a surprise

Perhaps he is trying to offload some of that surplus NAMA housing stock. I wonder if genetically engineered rice will grow in Leitrim?
