Default Is Enda Kenny indifferent to Irelands international image.

    Addendum to OP 27th -28th Sept 10
[See below also for Enda,s latest political flip flop on his interference with pairing arrangements that could have economically sabotaged Irelands international image in the USA.]

    OP
Over the past 24 hours[15th september onward] the international media have disseminated a false allegation instigated by a Fine Gael TD ,Mr.S.Coveney which he has now retracted.

The allegation was that the Irish Taoiseach was “between drunk & hungover” during a radio interview.

The english speaking worlds press have spread this false story around the globe.

As a consequence of this false story serious damage has been done to the image of the Irish nationally and politically on the international scene & to the office of the Taoiseach.

In all this time the Fine Gael leader Mr.E. Kenny has remained silent on the issue.

The Fine Gael TD who instigated the international rumour mill has now admitted, without apologizing, that he was wrong.

His leader Mr E.Kenny still remains silent on the matter.

The only conclusion is that Mr. E.Kenny is indifferent to this unjustified damage being done to Irelands international image.

Had Mr.E.Kenny cared about Irelands international image or the office of Taoiseach, he would by now have issued a statement rebutting & disassociating himself from Mr. Coveneys words and actions.

Its one thing to rightfully bask in a political opponents discomfiture at home
but when that transcends national boundaries on the basis of an admitted false report to cause damage to the countries image abroad surely a potential Taoiseach would have acted by now to help minimize the damage.

This is more evidence of Mr Kennys unsuitability for the office of Taoiseach.

    .................

    Addendum to OP 27th -28th Sept 10

The latest ding dong to damage Irelands reputation is Enda Kennys initial fire & brimstones refusal to permit govt pairings for vital international conferences affecting Irelands economy.

In the usual fit of mad rash judgement stormtrooper Kenny declared the practice would cease.

[Ignoring the elementary political fact that all govts of every political hue may require such things for the good of the country]

[Labour sniggered on the sidelines and offerd to provide a pair.]

When Kennys handlers got him back on the leash it was explained to him that he could be damaging the national interest on the international investment stage and was scaring labour into the FF camp..

Kenny got on message and immediately flip flopped.

This indicates that there is no measured consideration in this mans actions, a rush of blood to the head and he is away
firing his machine gun at everything that stands in the way of his personal ambition to be Taoiseach.

Even if its the Irish economy it will now be mown down by machine gun Enda.

Its up to FG now to do something serious and effective about this unstable individual before real damage is done

    Get over it.
The Buffoon from Clara did it all on his own.
Coveny did what any opposition member should do, point out the disgrace that is the goverment.
Pity he had to give the FG ball bag back .
Its only a chat, we ain't the world council.

Yeah he wasn't drunk or hungover, the people of Ireland who listened to the interview are stupid. Is this the FF argument, that we're all morons - I thought the interview was bad, the reaction afterwards is far worse.

So telling falsehoods and instigating a rumour mill that damages the Irish image abroad and the office of Taoiseach, then retracting your false allegations
is acceptable behaviour for opposition TD,s?

That is poster jpc,s stated position.

If you read the exact quote he said he "sounded somewhere between drunk and hungover". There is absolutely nothing false about that statement IMO.

Now, leaving Planet Pillock and returning to the real world, we find that Simon Coveney hasn't retracted a single syllable of his twittered statement that BIFFO SOUNDED as though he was either drunk or hungover on Morning Ireland yesterday morning.

It seems MPB is happy that the office of Taoiseach is besmirched falsly and the accuser retracts the allegations and that Irelands international image is dragged through the mud on foot of all this.

He also is happy that the leader of the false accuser is content to stand idly by during all of this

Hope it keeps fine for you MPB.
