Default Ulster Says No to Jim Allister's Traditional Unionist Voice

Jim Allister's dreams of establishing a bridgehead of anti-Executive unionists in the Stormont Assembly looks in tatters as all but a small percentage of the unionist electorate rejected his dire warnings about 'terrorist-inclusive' government and North Korean style democracy.

The TUV stood in ten constituencies:

    North Antrim 7,114 16.8%
    East Derry 2,572 7.4%
    Mid-Ulster 2,995 7.3%
    South Antrim 1,829 5.4%
    East Antrim 1,826 6.0%
    Lagan Valley 3,154 8.6%
    East Belfast 1,856 5.4%
    North Down 1,634 4.9%
    Strangford 1,814 5.6%
    South Down 1,506 3.5%

Based on this outing only Allister in North Antrim looks likely to win a seat in the Assembly at next year's elections. Hardly a basis on which he could sabotage power sharing. As Jim licks his wounds (and contemplates a return to the bar) he will at least be able to console himself that he is not the only unionist leader to find himself down and out.

The moral of the story is that the unionist electorate have accepted the reality of Sinn Féin in government. They expect their representatives to get on with it.

The TUV is the past. The UK State gives the orders whilst NI is part of that state. Should The Union ever dissolve then all bets are, off course, off.

The TUV represent the heart as opposed to the head of Unionism, just like the "dissidents" represent the heart of the "Nationalist"/Republican community.

That was evident from watching Allister's contribution to various debates. His attempts to out-Paisley Paisley Junior were entertaining in a perverse way.

Society as a whole is moving on.

Very well put a chara. Which is why the "dissidents" need to start growing a brain - otherwise the barbarity of Stormont could last another hundred years.

Nor are the Adamsites. They have already reached their final destination - paid lackys of the English Crown and cowardly footmen of the ruling class.

This thread is about Jim Allister and TUV. Take your paedophilia obsession elsewhere.

I am not the one who supports the cover up of child rape - you are.
