Default Vatican city age of consent?

Someone asked via Twitter about this. So if it's true and purely from a girlie perspective : l don't believe very young catholic girls would have a notion of legal informed consent nor indeed know much about contraceptive options. Shouldn't religions address these problems cos they could be a legal minefield in terms of Children's rights. http://www.avert.org/age-of-consent.htm?12

Well this thread was raised before on a kiddy-fiddler's international forum and it was locked:

Catholic Online Forum • View topic - Vatican Law on the age of consent.

I guess they consider their churches as embassies ... and that's why all the kiddy-fiddling was hunky dory

What do you mean "a kiddy-fiddler's international forum"?
What shall it profit a man to gain the whole world and suffer the loss of his own soul?

The forum is a fanclub for "kiddy-fiddler's international" aka The Catholic Church

So naturally they'd like to brush over the fact that rodgered young 'uns don't get justice in the home state

Because that's what it was under Italian law (it is now 14).

a bit like the gender neutrality lie. international best practice would look on a just post-pubescent girl as entitled to her education, bodily privacy and safety. This could cause problems with the rape/enforced pregnancy thing. Mostly girls want to go to college and have fun. Sure luckily the biological determinism of male-dominated religious dogma does not prevail.

The "biological determinism" of nature is fairly persistent though.

Dot, you are reading way too much into this. It just so happened to be Italian law. Italy has always been a reasonably conservative society, so I don't know why the age was set so low.

l wonder when our child protection referendum will happen ? The current laws on Statutory rape are confusticated. and Almanac contraception is bloody marvellous , afterall mostly the idea of 'wearing women out with child-bearing' went out with the dinosaurs.

You're being unfair, dot. Just because someone doesn't share your views doesn't mean they're women-hating or wrong.
