Can't see any reason as to why the Provos wouldn't let him back now. He has not broken the law of the land by informing, indeed he went to the RUC who Adams and Co are advocating - he was just a little ahead of his time. The Provisional IRA are no more they have surrendered their weapons and are no longer engaged in acts of violence, so I would imagine Gerry and Martin and their Psf dupes will be more than glad to welcome him back!

This is just another one of the wee facts that the provisional movement will have to come to terms with.

To this day, his name is still used in Derry as an insult for touters, squealers and the kind of people that go running to mammy to tell...

Is he planning on coming back to live in the city? He'd be mad. Loads of people want a piece of him, by no means all of them Shinners.

If he comes back he'll inevitably be shot... next DUP reason to block powersharing? Though the irony will be... SF will be calling on people with information to go to the Peelers.

I'm sure there are hundreds of similar cases, watching the developments since last Sundays U turn. I don't believe he will be in any danger from Provisional elements, but he'll get a kickin every time he goes for a pint and will eventually end up blasted by a shotgun. Another Derry informer Pat Moore, is supposed to have cancer. There is talk he also wishes to return. (Don't know why. The place is a shithole)
