Default The crazies at Indymedia.ie are back online

Indymedia the beloved site of pseudo left-wing crazies is back online tonight. Look forward to more crazy conspiracy theories from the Shell 2 Sea crowd, and the idiots at Residents against Racism.

Might be a bit more entertaining now they can host more video files.

Ahh chamagne socialism, and it's main outlet, I haven't been on that site since I was (as a bystander) on the receiving end of their "no free speech for fascists" riot at UCD.

Which, on their site, they were only too happy to defend.

    Memories...

Couldn't agree better. The RAR style crap that it allows on its website damages its credibility. Anyway, you wont tell them- they're right and you're wrong no matter what! I'd love to know how, within such a short period of time, it could manage to raise over €4000. : :!:

The fact that this thread has opened with 3 notable crazies opinions is quite ironic
A normal person like me is a breath of fresh air

    Fair dues to Indymedia.

Like you merle, I can't understand the griping above. Or is it that free speech, as Lenin supposedly said about democracy (and as we hear ad nauseum from certain people who take a certain stance on certain issues), is so precious that it has to be rationed?

Sometimes I get the feeling neo liberal health cuts have led to excessive Lithium rationing

I'd love to know how, within such a short period of time, it could manage to raise over €4000
because as a popular site a lot of people donated money to their account to get it up and running again . Its coverage of Shell to sea and the Dublin riots in particular was extremely informative and much superior to the dross churned out in the dailies . There is a lot of nonsense on it for sure but the news is only as good as the people reporting it . There are certainly wack jobs posting but many of the items by serious posters are well researched and informative .
