If Dukes did not know he should resign. If he did know and did not inform Lenny, then he should resign.

Doubt it, seems something very rotten is still going on in Anglo.

How can it be that the same management and executives that served under Seanie and are as culpable as he for the failure of Anglo-Irish bank are still in situ? These vipers are earning VAST sums of money at our expense while no doubt still in cahoots with Seanie. Why have there not been mass firings of ALL above a certain level?
Below is an extract from Anglos 2007 Annual Report.

// We operate to the highest ethical and governance
standards as we aspire to be a model corporate citizen.
For this reason we invest heavily in the development and
training of our staff, as well as maintaining the highest levels
of integrity in our relationships with our stakeholders //

    Cantstop laughing at that.

To hell with Dukes, I 'd guess he did know, so what?
That Brian Lenihan didn't know is an unmitigated disgrace.

    "I wasn't told..."
What a complte and utter slime ball.

Lenihan you have been in control of this bank for nearly a year.
You have known there are massive loans outstanding to Sean Fitzpatrick.
The world and its mother could have made an educated guess that Sean Fitzpatrick was not making repayments but you, you slimey manipulator pull a stunt like "no one told me"
Your Dad would be proud of you with slop like this, technically correct and all designed to try to hang someone else.
If I was Mike Aynsley I would get the next plane back to Oz as he now knows what utter slimeballs he is dealing with and is just a pawn in a giant Fianna Fail ponzi protection scheme.

    Let's get something straight.
As controller of a Nationalised bank, the fact that you didn't know the most significant details of the central figure in the whole debacle is no one's fault only yours.

There are only two possible conclusions to be drawn

    1. It is staggerring incompetence to imagine that in 9 months while he controlled this bank Brian Lenihan hasn't once asked for an update on Sean Fitzpatrick's affairs or

    2. He is lying through his teeth that he didn't know.

There is a scene in Casino where Robert De Niro sacks his casino floor boss for allowing the 1 million jackpot to hit three times in an hour.
he says "Look either you are in on the scam or you are too dense to know its a scam. either way you are no good to me, you're fired.."

In other words you are either a liar or an incompetent.
    Capiche Lenny?

    Well said.

Dukes has questions to answer too, as to all the directors.

a peoples (taxpayers) representative should be appointed

    our Democracy is NOT working

    clarity does not exist

I suggest a person(s) appointed by the people (taxpayer) be sent into Anglos HQ

Let them pore over what they wish
