Default Tiger Kidnapper - Bail Consent 10,000

Tony Quinn from Ballymum who has been charged with handling around 300,000 stolen from Permanent TSB as part of a tiger kidnapping has been given consent to bail of 10,000. This is a joke the guy got caught red handed and yet he is permitted to get bail.

IMHO this scumbag should remain in jail until he is sentenced and he should serve at least 15 year before been considered for parole.

The judge who granted bail should be sacked. What part of 'a tiger kidnapping IS a threat to the public' did he not understand?
If you continue to elect idiots in elections, don't be surprised when the result is an idiotic government.

nothing new in crims getting bail, some of the most serious gangsters in dublin are out on bail awaiting trial on serious charges including the people who planned this ''job'' its the norm for gangsters they know they are going down for a stretch say 10 years so they go robbing to build up a nest egg while on bail sure even if they get caught for more robberies they will still only get the 10 years they were expecting anyway.. law is joke so are courts and judges

Most society's would wait for the trial prior to sentence. Did I miss something in Dermot Ahern's bill?

You might note, oh ye barstool Judges, that the Gardai did not object to bail!!

This is why our justice system is such a joke.

The Gardai should explain why and if the reason is not good enough the should get the road as well.

Shhhhhhhhhh! If Biffo hears about this one he'll ask the judge to go through the motions of an honourable resignation and ensure the judge is better off sacked for incompetence, than continuing to work competently for another 10 years. While Biffo's still hanging on as the Pretender Taoiseach the country can't afford to sack any incompetent or wasteful judges, politicians, regulators or Ceann Comhairle's - only people in the private sector can be sacked without any cost. As long as Biffo's at the helm of the Good Ship Titanic it's cheaper to have dishonoursable incompetent, bent people remain in their staterooms instead of tossing them overboard.
