Default McCartney Murder: Senior Sinn Fein Officer charged.

Senior Sinn Féin Officer James McCormick, 36 has been charged with the attempted murder of Robert McCartney's friend on the night Mr McCartney was murdered.

McCormick is listed by the Northern Ireland Electoral Commission as the treasurer of Sinn Fein in the South and East Belfast.

This follows charges for the alleged murder of Mr. McCartney being brought against Mr. Terence Davison, 49.

I have no idea. He should not be expelled simply on the basis of being charged though.

He is treasurer of Sinn Féin in two constituency organisations! One of only Nine SF members in Northern Ireland to hold that rank. He reports directly to Margaret Adams, SF Treasurer in NI......

"Senior Sinn Féin officer" implies being at a level of national leadership. He might be a senior officer within the Six Counties Cúige, but it is stretching it to therefore call him a senior officer for the party.

What about the seven Adams expelled a few month ago in relation to this murder. Was he one of them?
