The Sunday Leads 23/01/10 | election.ie

The Sunday Tribune is very interesting, Aine Tyrell says she told Gerry Adams many times about Liam working with youth. Says both he and the PSNI failed her big time.

Wow! If that piece is correct, his own niece is now calling him a liar! How much more of this before the party realise it's all over? Looks like my prediction that it'd be death by a thousand cuts if he didn't get confronted by the mainstream media is the way it is going. How much longer before RTE, the BBC, and UTV do their jobs properly?...

Exactly... if it's correct. Last week's Tribune was far from accurate in a number of respects.

As the BBC, UTV, RTÉ - they are doing their jobs. The trial of Liam Adams is now in the public interest. The Sunday Tribune doesn't seem to agree though - it prefers to try his brother in its pages instead.

Menwhile the Peace Process appears to be in serious sh*t!

As there is a big picture of Áine Tyrell on the cover and an interview with her, I can't see how it can not be correct. The need to protect the (never-ending) peace process is not going to be the defence now, is it? Call me a big paranoid cynic but I can see how a sudden 'crisis' suits an awful lot of people at the moment...

The peace process was there to persue a political end...The goal of the peace process is basically secured...Therefore the "peace process" is coming to an end.

Hence probably these stories are allowed out.

That is some logic

Yeah, the situation at Stormont, which has brewing since May 2008, has been wholly contrived to save Gerry Adams's face. Again, that is some logic.

There is nothing new in any of what Liam Clarke says, it just summarises the position well.
