Former Fianna Fail Minister for Justice Gerry Collins has written to the Smithwick Tribunal to refute evidence that Jack Lynch ordered non-cooperation over an investigation by the RUC over the Warrenpoint murders. Collins, in his letter (which is below the fold) has asked the Tribunal to allow him to defend Jack Lynch's honour by appearing at the Tribunal again.

Fine Gael were due to hold a photocall this lunchtime to mark one year in Government, but have now cancelled the photocall after discovering Labour were not doing the same.
