    The Broadcasting Authority of Ireland has upheld a complaint by Sean Gallagher over the Presidential Election edition of RTÉ's Frontline, and the edition of Today on RTÉ Radio One the following morning.

    RTÉ rejects claim it broadcast "bogus" Sinn Fein Gallagher tweet during Presidential Election, calling the tweet's contents "accurate"

    In a letter to the Irish Times this morning, RTÉ Head of Broadcast Compliance Peter Feeney has pointed out that the 'tweet' read out referred to during RTÉ's Frontline Presidential debate was not "bogus". Bogus is the word as reported by the Irish Times yesterday.

    Martin McGuinness wants United Ireland referendum "by 2016"

    Phil Hogan announces that the evoting machines are officially for sale, but says they might not be worth anything

    Minister for the Environment Phil Hogan TD has this afternoon announced that the Evoting machines are formally for sale.

    However he has acknowledged that no buyer may be found, and that the machines could actually be worthless.

    Sean Gallagher's Fianna Fail National Exec resignation letter obtained by Politics.ie 

    Article Preview

    Politics.ie has this evening obtained a copy of the letter from Independent Presidential Candidate Sean Gallagher where he "regretfully" resigns from the National Executive of Fianna Fail.

    The resignation letter (which was reported on by the Sunday Business Post's Niamh Connolly back in August) was sent to the party's General Secretary Sean Dorgan and is dated January 5th.
