Seán Fitzpatrick arrested and charged with unlawful assistance in purchase of Anglo shares
Former Anglo Irish Bank Chairman and Chief Executive Sean Fitzpatrick was arrested early this morning and taken to the Criminal Courts of Justice to face 16 charges including the unlawful financial assistance in the purchase of shares in Anglo Irish Bank. Fitzpatrick's arrest this morning follows the arrest of former Anglo executives
Willie McAteer and Pat Whelan yesterday, they were charged with 16 offences related to providing unlawful financial assistance to 16 people, who have been since known as the "Maple 10", and members of the Quinn family.
