Monet's "Argenteuil Basin with a single Sailboat" seriously damaged in incident at National Gallery of Ireland in Dublin

Politics.ie has learnt this afternoon that there was an incident at the National Gallery of Ireland where a painting by Monet was severely damaged. In a statement to Politics.ie following inquiries, the Gallery confirmed an incident took place early this morning, and a man has been detained.
