Ivor Callely released by Gardaí, file will be sent to DPP
Former Fianna Fáil Oireachtas member Ivor Callely has been released from Garda custody following questioning. Callely was released without charge by Irishtown Garda station shortly after midday this afternoon.
The Garda Bureau of Fraud Investigation searched Callely's homes in Clontarf and West Cork yesterday, and arrested him for questioning. It is believed a file will now be sent to the Director of Public Prosecutions.
