I am commenting on what Rosmuc said about FF sending lemons to the Dail. In my view you would have to be on a party ticket to have any chance of getting a seat and as I am not a member of any party then I am unlikely to get elected and therefore would not put myself forward.

Also if you were a FF supporter which of the two candidates would you pick and also remember the Norma voted against (M&S) the first time round.

I'd expect FF to run 2 for 2 in each constituency.

Tom Mac and John Cregan in LW/NK (Debatable if John will jump), Niall Collins and Emmet O'Brien in Limerick and, Willie O'Dea and Peter Power in Limerick City.

If John doesn't switch, Emmet may have to wait it out.

Not a hope of getting two in kerry north/west limerick or kerry south (excluded Donoghue of course).still though it might help raise the running mates profiles for the locals.FF has been in decline in north kerry for a while and chances of a second seat have more or less gone.sure 2 ffers couldnt bet 1 fger together and that says something.a lot of ff supporters voted deenihan because of poor ff geographical spread too.Cregan is highly unlikely to switch anyway.each constituency is different.fianna fail could have a few threes in five seaters and wouldnt get two in others.you need to take stuff like that into account.any predictions of the kerry south ff ticket?

If (yeah I know a big if) the next election panned out as per the Times poll then FF would take Ferris' seat with the West Limerick (about 60% FF country) addition. The West Limerick addition puts a 2nd FF seat back on the agenda whereas it was an impossibility before. Not by any stretch it will happen I am just saying that is now possibility if they get the candidate strategy right for a change and a fair economic wind in 2012.

Seems your still obsessive about marks and sparks, anyone i spoke to says its too small and they wouldnt be going back.The size compares with the small Tesco in Abbeycourt. Think people got too hot and bothered about one shop, hopefully the new Austin Stack site will bring in real quality jobs prospects for hundreds of people and give Tralee a welcome boost.

The M&S in Tralee would have been half as big again, if I remember the figures correctly Killarney is around 20,000 sq. ft. and the one in Tralee would have been 30,000 sq. ft. which is substantially bigger.

I wouldn't be so sure that the West Limerick FF vote will move so smoothly. There has always been a strong republican element to it and it was primarily harvested by strong personal/family votes for Collins rather than any pure identification with FF nationally. It was/is much more of a franchise operation and if the franchise holder stays with Limerick County then that vote could be mobile enough to save Ferris, providing he runs. Labour are the ones taking the biggest hit from the merger.
