So many out there make fun of Jackie Healy Rae...and why? Beacuse he is not slick enough for the new generation of educated professionals in Dublin? I have graduated from University, I have traveled extensively and I have met famous people all over the world and Jackie Healy Rae is probably the finest person I know. He came from a poor background. His father was confined to a wheelchair and he left school at an early age to support his siblings and mother. He even went to the USA with his siblings and he came back because he LOVED Ireland. He was a successful farmer, business man, plant hire operator, musican, sportman, dancer, member of Southern Health Board, County Councillor and I could go on. He was never afraid to speak up and speak his mind. He was never trying to pretend to be something he is not. Some people forget where they come from. He does not. He had helped thousands of people over the years with housing, health and dental, school transport, special ed, planning and roads, poverty, education, employment, crisises, immigration etc. He has helped fishermen and farmers and old age pensioners. He always answers his phone. He is funny!!! He is concerned with national issues as he should be and he makes no secret of wanting to take care of his own county. The people of Kerry have elected him, they should be proud of such a wonderful TD. He doesn't have to read off his shopping list, he has a document on
www.JackieHealyRae.com and that shows the areas he is concerned with. I am sure he had requested all that Kerry should get and MORE

and in turn he will support and help to keep the government stable. Not a bad deal!! Jackie is an HONEST, HARDWORKING man who represents Kerry well. We should not be ashamed of where we come from and we should not expect Jackie to act, dress and speak like a 25 year old Trinity graduate. The world would be pretty boring without diversity and heritage and culture. Jackie is a seasoned politican, with experience and knowledge and he gets the job done. If everyone who makes fun of Jackie actually met him in person they would realize what a wonderful asset to Ireland he is. Keep up the good work Jackie!
