Who do you think you're fooling? You clearly are a person with an agenda to discredit yes campaigners by spreading idiotic mistruths about the EU. You really must think people are completely stupid not to cop on to you. Troll alert. |

| Fergalino, this is exactly my point - I am trying to AVOID people being fooled - so in answer to your question - hopefully nobody. My agenda is to fully disclose all aspects of the Treaty of Lisbon and educate the Irish public as to what they are actually voting on - ultimately achieving a Yes vote, but not by propaganda, disinformation or any other tricks of the trade being used so often by both sides. Can you please advice on what specific "idiotic mistruths about the EU" you claim I have posted here? - You cannot simply accuse somebody of that without backing it up with facts???? I hope people can see past the attempt to discredit me by a few forum members by calling me a troll and a paid government something or other - all because I cut a little too close to the bone and tell the truth!

| Paddy Power will publish new odds shortly which will allow punters to bet on the % of votes the Yes side of the Lisbon referendum will get. Judging by the prices quoted, they are leaning towards a Yes vote of between 60% and 65% - at a price of 6/4. The bookies got it wrong last time but it's still interesting to see how they read it at the moment... See here for details: Finnegan’s Take Blog Archive Bookies backing Lisbon - but fear fickle electorate

| A No from me,and my other half. I fail to see what good this treaty does for us, and the increasingly shrill pleas from business people in particular ring so hollow after the rubbish we've seen in the past year. I read it, and I understood most of it from early on. Those guarantees are laughable, and if you voted No before, you will in no way be placated by them. They are like stone pillars on a bed of quicksand. Anyways, regardless of what happens, the next treaty is being dreamt up in the smoke filled rooms of Brussels, more federalist clap trap no doubt. And we will not be getting a vote on that one. Ode to Joy anyone? |
