Civil War

So, after the Treaty is ratified there is going to be a split:

26 states and 1 independent left out on it's own with to be governed by a majority oppressing the minorities.

SOUND FAMILIAR !!

You have missed the point. Even if the remaining 26 countries ratify individually, the Treaty cannot be passed into law as we haven't ratified it. It is all or none not 26 to 1.

I think "flippant" is the term. Sorry I couldn't find a "tongue-in-cheek" emoticon.

I know the Treaty CANNOT go ahead but you may need to tell that the some of the EU "experts" from the continent who are calling for the rules to be changed!!

Some posters on her really do take themselves very seriously.

I have already had my head bitten off today for having the temerity to suggest that legal people in Brussels may be attempting to get around it

The title is an oxymoron. There is nothing 'Civil' about war.
