| Such small minded racism - but not surprising from the yesmen.

ive got the refcom one. a REALLY shoddy looking one from micheal martins office of foreign affairs too, you think with their resources they'd pay abit more for the better weighted paper. and got the FF one which really tells you sod all about the actual treaty. its kinda shocking really considering theres only a week and a bit left. i suppose theyre all waiting for the last week. incidently sunday was the first time i saw a canvasser in my area. an ol FF head giving out leaflets outside the church. |

I'm puzzled - again and again I see comments saying Farage was excellent on this show or that debate. I keep hearing he was able to out quote and provide facts the yes supporters provide, also the salaried yes politicians and all the other tax funded yes campaigners. Then we find a leaflet produced NOT by UKIP (EUkip) but by a pan EU political party/group called the EFD which has so scared the yes campaigners that they are attacking NOT the message, not the facts, not the detail but much as most cowards do when they run out of honesty they are attacking the messenger. If you are in the water drowning is it wise to hold a test to see who is alowed to throw you a lifeline? In Ireland do you have life rings on quay sides with notices saying if someone falls in and is drowning foreigners are NOT allows to throw them a life ring without a formal written test? The staggering political imaturity of the yes supporter makes me understand why they want Ireland to be ruled by foreigners as a vassal state - let us hope there are enough Irish people who have bothered learning the facts and will vote NO to vassal status under control of the Lisbon Constitution. Regards, Greg L-W.

But perhaps that does pass for honesty on the No side.

Of the 32 members of EFD, 13 are from UKIP. The next largest group of member are from Lega Nord (9) - these are a party of right-wing Italian federalists. we all the know the problems with UKIP but Lega Nord are a xenophobic party - The party leader has suggested in the past that Italy should shoot boats of immigrants and he describes africans as "bingo-bongos" The rest of EFD is made up of a mixed bag of neo-fascists, ultra conservatives and right-wing nationalists. charming bunch of people trying to influence the Irish vote. |
