Its actually funny reading the 06 comments in relation to Thomas Byrne - a total unknown in Meath..comes from nowhere, polls almost 8000 FPV's and smothers Hannigan.

All the talk about Labour winning this seat...it was seen as a forgone conclusion! What happens? Labour have a good candidate, but a poor campaign coupled with FF spreading personal negativity and rumours in the more conservative rural areas of Meath in relation to Hannigan. Hey Presto - 2 FF seats.
