Flight from FGM is legimate grounds to seek asylum and two children are at risk of that if returned to Nigeria. That is the simple matter we are confronted with.

Human Compassion?

What about a level of understanding & compassion for Irish People in all of this?
The point is that the agrument has been tested in a court of law and was rejected. That is why the argument never appears now in a court where such cases are being heard, anywhyere. The only place that it is aired is where people form an opinion which has been arrived at by dubiuos reasoning, or downright bigotry, and when challenged the 'floodgate' excuse is regarded as logiocal and handy. It's neither, it is bogus no matter where it is aired and I am very surprised that you suggest that it is logical to dismiss out of hand the finding of a court on the matter. It gives the impression that no matter how high the bar is set for the people involved in this case, it will never be high enough.

On a point of information regarding this case, it was 'this women' who informed the court that the documention may be false, she was not discovered telling lies, on the contrary, she came clean on the issue as soon as she had information that her husband a had paid for them.

If you are now saying that we should reject asylum seekers because we are 'bankrupt' ,fine. But let us change the laws to reflect that and have the honesty to explain our case to our neighbours for their scrutiny.

Aye she did tell the court that the papers were forged AFTER the Gardai went to Nigeria and discovered they were forgeries. Did she not think the Gardai would inform the court?

Not true, she had no way of knowing what the Gardai had discovered. The fact remains that she told the court voluntarily.

I am fortunate to have excellent tenants (Nigerian Man and his Polish Partner plus two children), who both work extremely hard, pay their taxes and are quite angry at what they perceive as PI's naked opportunism. My tenant (Tony) has already been beaten up by thugs outside the cinema in the Square in Tallaght - in front of dozens of onlookers. He says he is now becoming more wary as a result of the expected backlash caused by Pamela's dishonesty.

How did she not know what the guards found in Nigeria. It was well published ahead of her court date. The interview with the doctor and the fact the papers were forgeries.

Of course she bloody did

- her Husband rang her and told her the Game was up and the Gardai had discovered they were forgeries.

Hopi you do realise your credibility is being seriously damaged by your continuing support for this Fraud?

I hope for your sake that you do not have a public profile

- because your ability to seperate fact from fiction on this one would lead people to think the same on any other 'causes' you adopt.

Are you seriously suggesting that the Gardai investigation was placed into the public domain prior to the court sitting? The first the court heard of the problem came from claiment and that is on the court records.

This country is going down the tubes rapidly .Money doesn't grow on trees, and anyone coming here to soak the system ,weather theyadmit it or are found out should be put on a plane back to where they came from, and less of this pussy footing around.
