Difficulty in deciding the correct terminology does not excuse such wildly inaccurate usage of the language as you employed in referring to 35 year olds as geriatrics!

Doesn't matter whether it's used as a noun or an adjective - it's just downright inaccurate! What would you think of "should know betters"?

Just because somebody else uses a term does not mean we should blindly adopt it - especially when it is clearly non-sensensical. In fact the term "geriatric pregnancy" is, by any normally accepted interpretation, an oxymoron.

Obstetricians call a first-time mother of 35 or over an 'elderly primagravida'.

Around here it's relatively young!
I believe the world record for natural conception is 59...

The correct medical name for a woman over 29, pregnant for the first time, is an elderly primigravida. Guess what sex thought up that one.
