Default Oireachtas Committees likened to paint drying by a bored Ciaran Cuffe on Twitter.

Frankly, I found this Twitter message posted into the public domain by Ciaran Cuffe to be very insulting to those of us who have to slog away in boring real jobs!

I appreciate that committee meetings aren't always exciting, but he is paid handsomely to do his job and it's a bit sickening to see him moaning about how dull his experience of life as a TD is when he is supposed to be getting on with his work!

To me, as an ordinary voter, this is just not acceptable.

Less being bored and fiddling with one's iPhone ... more getting on with your work as a TD please!

Shame on the useless overpaid Trust fund baby.

I would like to know if he has added anything constructive to the debate or is he happy with how the Dail doesn't work and yet costs a fortune.

Poor old politicians - damned for never telling it like it is, damned for telling it like it is.

With Cuffe complaining like this, and Ryan and Sargent sleeping in the Dail yesterday, maybe the Greens do not want to be in Government at all.

Public: "Ciaran, NAMA will lose €20 Billion, maybe thirty".
Ciaran: "Am I bothered? I don't care, I'm loaded."

He's making the point that he is wasting his time being there. He is bored by discussions about Dáil Reform. That's fair enough. I don't see how this is in any way insulting to his electors.
