This thread is utter garbage so I will add to the rubbish pile started by emmetwhateverhislazyassiscalled.
What's the matter? Cant handle the real world outside of mammys and daddys' house, huh?
    Poor little babba.
You have to learn to budget. Simple choice, beer or bus fare. If you get sloshed, you can walk home. Or sleep in a bush.
You have an unbelievable and unjustified sense of entitlement. You have achieved nothing. Except passed a few leaving cert exams, which you'll look back on in a few years and you'll realise that they are probably the easiest exams you'll ever sit in your life.
Pensioners are infinitely more valuable than students. Just because society markets old less desirable and somehow inferior, just remember that pensioners have been there, done that and got the tee-shirt, for everything you are just now even dreaming about achieving. Also leaving aside the % of pensioners who have succumbed to mental disorders, Pensioners KNOW what they are talking about.
You forget that pensioners were students too and had a lot less pampering than 'Moi needs new busfare subs cos, like, my brogues are, like, wearing a bit thin from, like, having to walk and stuff. It's just like, SO unfair'.
Get a grip you whiney excuse for an individual.
Students already get discounted travel. That is enough.
Buy a Bike or better still a UNIcycle you bloody clown

After all, lets face it, which group is more important, pensioners or students. . .
Yes indeed students are more important than pensioners because they are usually physically stronger.

This being the case the third level colleges should re arrange their lecture schedules to dovetail with the bus schedules.
All this can be done by computerisation.

When this is done then the strong fit students can exercise by pulling or pushing the buses with the pensioners on board thus saving the struggling Irish economy much expense and also promoting a fossil fume free environment.

Students are basically being trained to go abroad to work and we're paying for the privilege, so who is more important? I say pensions who are here and spend every last cent of their pension on utilities and amenities.
