Young Candidates for Irish Elections in 2009

I'd be interested to see people post up details and links of campaigns of young people (say under 30s) running in the different elections coming up this year (locals, Europeans and the by-elections).

I know one of the FGers running in Dublin is claiming to be the youngest ever candidate to run for election in Dublin www.noelrock.ie

    Liam Quinn
    Simon Harris
    Neale Richmond
    Annette Larkin
    Paul Connaughton Jnr.
    Laura McGonigal
    Sean Mckeirnan

Darren Murphy in Kilkenny is even younger - and will probably be the youngest of any party to stand.

In Kildare, the following confirmed FG candidates are 30 or under...

    Naas Town Council
    Alan O'Kelly
    Emer McDaid

    Newbridge Town Council
    Emma Kiernan

    Kildare County Council
    Tony O'Donnell
    Martin Heydon

Nope! Darren Murphy is 20, according to his page.

Adam Douglas, who is 19, will be running for the Greens for Fermoy Town Council. See article from local paper here.

O'Duffy Youth does seem to be strenghtening on the ground. I would be very suspicious of these young careerists out to make a name for themselves. Many of these young right wingers are blinded by brutal ambition.

Interesting to see the FG logo used by Darren Murphy on his page.

I know 'The United Ireland Party' is officially part of their title, but it seems to be very rarely displayed by FG on their promotional material.

Regards "united Ireland" party. I have met Darren Murphy during his campaign and he seems to be the more nationalist wing of Fine Gael.

I also think there is chap called Barry Ward? running somewhere in the southern parts of Dublin(cant remember where I was). Met him picking up rubbish on the street.
