They have been working away supporting committees like mine. You don't have to be our protesting against multi-nationals to be doing something.

I can't say they've been particularly active on the campaign front, but they are supporting cumainn all over the country.

Haven't been hearing from Mulally though.

I could go on with the "had I won" ********************e, but shoulda woulda coulda, I didn't get elected.

There isn't a conference planned for this academic year.

Of course not. It is solely about climbing the greasy poll. Other youth wings can have protests or policy documents. We can't. So the only worthwhile activites are drinking, in-fighting and getting laid. But count your blessings you're not in YFG who have none of the above to do or Labour Youth who just do the in-fighting and don't have the energy for the other two. But in ogra SF they don't allow in-fighting but have you seen the cailin in that party and they only drink stuff from their own distilleries. I'm not sure the Greens have a youth wing, since they are all young at heart and don't see why it should only be the youth getting some- but the *************************yness is huge.
    IN OTHER WORDS: CHILL.

YFG have none of the above....good one. You've obv never seen a YFG party in full swing.

You can't have protests or policy documents because at the end of the day Ógra are just a crowd of yesmen

I was talking to one of my buddies who is a chairman of a College Cumman, She said that this years lot were of the 4 that she has had contact with---the worst by a long shot! I was just wondering like.

*edit* It wasn't Mullally that she was giving out about---It was Gormain or someone

People are entitled to their individual opinions, but I believe the current NYC have been working hard, as fuddy has pointed out, supporting cumainn like mine and his throughout the country, and a fine job they are doing. In relation to Mullally, I believe he is playing a pivotal role in the Local Election preparations, and has been extensively working on European issues, I think he was away at a conference of some sort there for a while. Keeping up the good work!

How many people are in your Fianna Fail cumman?
"They stole my land, burnt my olive trees, destroyed my house, took my water, imprisoned my father, killed my mother, starved us all, humiliated us all. But I am to blame : I shot a rocket back. So they stole more of my land, burnt my olive trees, destroyed my house, took my water, bombed my country..."

Aidan is who she was on about.

Aidan is currently running the local election candidate interface at HQ, so Ógra is on the backburner, Séin is partially involved on covering the service scale-back, but Aidan is helpful, in fact he rang me this evening returning a call.....he's stretched a lot at the moment being the membership officer as well.

Mullally, for whatever reason has made absolutely NO contact with me or, to my knowledge, any member of my committee since we were elected in September. All of the other 3 and some previous NYC members have been in touch from time-to-time to see how things are going and if they can be of assistance.

Policy is currently being formed, and for anyone who bothers to go to the meetings organised for these things, you would know that. There were 12 people in the mental health workshop after the charity ball Representing mainly Cork, UCD, Kerry, Offaly and Limerick.
