    Ógra Shinn Féin W.I.T.

    WEDNESDAY 12th, 5.30pm
    MEET AT W.I.T. RECEPTION.

Everyone is welcome to attend a talk in the Waterford Institute of technology. The theme of the talk will be " socialist republicanism " and will be presented by Cllr. David Cullinane, first SF elected rep. in Waterford since Cathal Brugha, followed by an oppurtunity to ask some questions. After the meeting the W.I.T. Ó.S.F. cumann will hold their A.G.M. and decide how best they can forward their objective, a 32 county democratic socialist republic, and what role they must play in forwarding their goals.

Sounds good. Fair play to W.I.T Cumann. Waterford seems to be a great place for socialist republicanism (And here's me thinking all they were known for was ************************e hurlers. )

How do you make the link to Cathal Brugha. Surely had he lived he would have been Fianna Fail. And if your getting into the politics of splits might he be republican SF???

perhaps Cathal Brugha could have been F.F, R.S.F or the bloody Green party who knows but most parties on this island can derive their roots from Sinn Féin and Cathal Brugha, a great republican, was our elcted rep.

I dispute that. To say Cathal Brugha was an elected rep of the current manifestation of Sinn Fein is a complete fallacy. How can you claim him as ours???

SF is 100 years old and has changed, for example we are no longer a dual monarchist party, but we are still SF. Politics evolves and hence parties must also.
