I'm not sure if this is the right forum, but this could be an interesting night in Trinity. I'm not a fan of Griffin has been quite impressive on the rare occasions that he gets television coverage.
What? No he hasn't, every time I watch the man I expect a fire and brimstone Powellite and instead I get a sweaty, squirming fat bloke who blatantly invents facts and then dithers whenever he's challenged on them.

The James Joyce Award is an award given by the Literary and Historical Society (L&H) of University College Dublin (UCD) for those who have achieved outstanding success in their given field. It is named after one of the society's alumni, James Joyce.

Nothing at all to do with Trinity.

    Drama much?

I might pop along to see him verbally ************************ all over himself in front of a not so positive crowd.

They obviously invited him because they know he'll get a crowd, but still I'm a big believer in the benefits of free speech and public debate, so I think it's good to give these people a platform, especially one where their views will be challenged, as it's the only way to show them up for being the bull************************ that they are and even so that we can ensure ourselves that they bull************************.

It's no use banning and censoring people like this. Peacefully protest yes but you can't deny people free speech and the right to be heard. To censor people is to infantilize the citizenry and say they can't make up their own minds. Censorship also hands them a credible argument i.e my ''right to free speech was denied'''and therefore will get them more supporters even by accident, supporters who could otherwise hear the guy speak and be sickened into opposing what he stands for.
