    USI SU Elections

USI Elections are next week any opinion on who's going to win the election? Also who would make the better candidate? Heard battle is fairly even at the moment.

By the looks of the Phoenix, out old friend John McGuirk has been up to his tricks again..... can that lad ever get involved in any organisation without truely getting into deep deep sh*t? I think hes bridged a gap too far this time... messing with both of te 2 largest parties in the state is not good for your career prospects, and no doubt he has created a huge amount of enemies. Silly man.

McGuirk is a total A-hole. Seeing him swanning around TCD with his long black coat working his "shaft" image makes him look pathetic. Therefore he probably will get elected. A-holes are shoe-ins for student elections

Isn't the thread title a bit tautological?

What's in the Phoenix? Is it the current one? Apologies about the name of the thread, you're quite right and I realised as soon as I had posted it

McGurk really is some character.....a bad one. I hear he has alot of votes in Trinity and UCD though, any truth in this? Are the people in those universities that naive? Can they not see he has absolutely no credibility after all he has been invovled in over his political 'career'? God help the students of this country if he gets elected.

You do realize that UCD and TCD are full of McGuirks? Plenty of A-holes with happy voting hands. Does anyone really care though? Let the babies have their bottles. I wouldn't touch the TCDSU or the USI

he has more of a past than I imagined, just google him along with indimedia and read his history. There's so much on Google! Trinity stalking, blackmailing, boasting, then fianna fail leaking, criminal investigations and now this phoenix article! have to get my copy tomorrow. I don't want this treehab representing me, he wasn't good enough to be trinners president why should he be elected usi president, who actually wants to vote him in for more of this?

McGurk got UCDSU's vote. Mainly because he's a slightly better candidate than Richie Morrisroe. Neither are particularly brilliant.
