China to the Rescue in Athlone!

It is being reported on RTE that the first phase of a planning application is being made for a multi million euro Chinese Trade centre in AThlone creating 1500 jobs.

    http://www.rte.ie/news/2011/0520/athlone.html

This will certainly bring employment to the area which is a good thing.

It certainly confirms the fact that we are punching above our weight i think internationally.

I have long suggested we should straddle the world economically and confirms my belief that we do not require the EU as much as we think!

How will ensure that they don't hire Chinese people there? No point creating 1500 jobs for non-nationals.

What makes you think that the Chinese would locate their "euro Chinese Trade centre in AThlone creating 1500 jobs" if we weren't members of the EU???

I may not like the Eurocracy, but I am under no illusions as to the benefits of our membership. Guess where our Commissioner is this week?

Still think we don't need them?

    _________

When the Chinese delegation outlined their project, they said that they wanted to build a town to accomodate 10,000 Chinese citizens.

So the local council, it would appear are prepared to allow a China town be built, right in the centre of Ireland, where Ireland's new Capital should be built ??. (Ériú should be built near Moate)

    'A Chi-Ireland and Chi-Europe' Chinese Control Centre.

It's amazing what bribes can accomplish ??

When you bribe the right people, anything is possible.

It has always been Ireland's failing that it produces 'patriot games' politicians, as opposed to patriotic, visionary political leaders.

    Bye, bye Ireland......Hello Euro-China !

I propose introducing legislation to prevent Neo-Colonialism in Ireland, outlined in my web link below.

because Ireland's greedy politicians sold it to the Leech Elite,

and the Leech Elite sold it to the Ziono Grindos,

who sold us in to Chinese slavery.

    Now we ramble the World

Like the Wild Geese before us,

    With our hard luck stories

    that no-one wants to hear,

about how we had a country

    and we lost the country,

    because Ireland's greedy politicians

sold it to the Leech Elite.

Yes siree. Running out of water, demographic time bomb, desertification, banks sitting on dodgy loans, a massive housing bubble not to mention vast inequalities. I can see it all going pete tong in the next decade or so.

I would not be surprised if within a few years 80% of the workforce is not Irish.

Neo Colonialism springs to mind here.

This is exactly what we don't need.
