Obama wrote his, and I'm pretty sure McCain co-wrote his.

That is open to question but to think of McCain putting much effort into a book is really stretching it. I can see Obama working with others to tell his story when he had time. I bought Audacity of hope as I knew he was the likely winner and who knows maybe he was going to do something different. Up to this though he has dissappointed those who are against a police state by voting for FISA. Those who expected that he would give a fair shake to the arab side must be realing from the Emmanual pick and everyday brings a Clinton hack back in. What will happen to change if Hillary, Larry Summers and John Kerry are in the cabinet. We saw Albright attending the G20 as his representative. Is this fossil a change. A few months ago she was on stage with Hillary.

Bush is supposed the bad guy. Don't hold your breath waiting for Obama to call him before Congress under oath.

From one of the conservative commentators who jumped ship after the Palin appointment:

    Giving Up on God

"As Republicans sort out the reasons for their defeat, they likely will overlook or dismiss the gorilla in the pulpit.

Three little letters, great big problem: G-O-D.

I'm bathing in holy water as I type.

To be more specific, the evangelical, right-wing, oogedy-boogedy branch of the GOP is what ails the erstwhile conservative party and will continue to afflict and marginalize its constituents if reckoning doesn't soon cometh.

Simply put: Armband religion is killing the Republican Party. And, the truth -- as long as we're setting ourselves free -- is that if one were to eavesdrop on private conversations among the party intelligentsia, one would hear precisely that.

The choir has become absurdly off-key, and many Republicans know it."

Here's the story with ol' Kathleen.

She's a Mitt Romney backer. As was (over Palin) George Will and Krauthammer and the rest of the self styled conservatives who opposed Palin.

They are thinking of 2012. Of Mittens. Sarah Palin can and would eliminate any chance of ol' Plastic hair getting anywhere (he wouldn't get anywhere anyway).

And of course, they're ALL wrong. Evangelical right-wingers are completely electable these days.

Reading McCain's 'Faith of my Fathers' at the moment - its about his military family and his own career in the US Navy as a pilot and his time as a POW.

    Pretty good stuff.

    However its full title is:

Faith of my Fathers: A Family Memoir

FYI, the most powerful lobbies in the USA are groups like the American Association for Retired Persons (AARP), the National Education Association (NEA), the National Rifle Association (NRA) and AFL-CIO (union lobby). AIPAC used to be in Fortune magazine's top five back in the 90s, but they've been squeezed out by these giants and others, especially as the influence of the EU has gotten stronger in the US.
You would do well to read this article:
Israel's 'Get Out of Jail Free' Card - by Philip Giraldi

Still think AIPAC isn't all powerful?

Antiwar.com is not a news site. You would do well to read actual news instead of propaganda sites.

Berlin and Tehran have more influence over Washington than Israel could ever hope to have. The way these propagandists talk, the borders of Israel should be expanding, not shrinking as they are and have been since 1979.
