Well folks, hello to the fellow hard core political nerds staying up. Just heard on CNN Cindy McCain mudslinging from a hospital apparently. I think McCain will be going for the jugular tonight. Will this not backfire? Everyone has been very polite in the debates up to now.

    Greetings fellow politicalphiles/insomniacs...

Yeah, it's been a bit too much like the Irish Apprentice - too mild mannered with not enough knockout put-downs...(points for most dubious analogy of the night?)

All will soon be revealed...although, one would have thought that the more easy-going-walking-about style of this debate would favour the more mobile Obama....(points for best political analysis?)

Yea its just the usual, McCain will push to show Obama up as inexperienced while Obama will try to show McCain as out of touch. I think tooth and nail attacks will be out of the question since audience are based on undecided voters. If you have CNN switch to it because they have a focus panal running during the debate.

Tragically I am lumbered with a bizarre collection of channels that include the unexportable S4C so it's BBC News or the radio....or streaming on the interweb - not very reliable (a bit like the McCain/Palin ticket really)

    Oh, here we go...

Obama wants to avoid getting his hands dirty here. Just smile, answer a few questions, take it nice and easy and just strole to a tight but adequete victory in 4 weeks.

    I thought that was Palin's game-plan?

Obama enters stage left, McCain stage right.

The opposite to the first debate.

No doubt to do with the powerful appearance of the left hand supporting the right when the men shake hands and how that looks on TV. They both wanted the opportunity to enter from the right.

    (Nerdy enough for everyone?)

God, I'd hate to be sitting at the front...I wonder which guest Obama is picturing naked?

McCain is staying slightly more on topic - although he is floundering around throwing even more money down a black hole, but that was hardly unexpected.
