Typical piece of socialist waffle from that drugaddict Sorkin. I could never stand the West Wing

I think it is time that the former 'Acting President of the United States' do a campaign gig with Obama, the next President -It would be great - Im surprised that Martin Sheen has been quite low key and that the Dems haven't used him yet.
That's what they're doing. Most of the US public feels the same way:Originally Posted by Munion
http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/26870711/WASHINGTON - The economy has become the most important issue for American voters ahead of the presidential election, according to the latest NBC News/Wall Street Journal poll.
And the numbers speak for themselves: Nearly six out of 10 voters are worried about their current financial situation, 77 percent believe the country is in a recession and three-quarters of those respondents believe the worst is yet to come.
This situation seems to benefit Democrat Barack Obama, who, according to the poll, holds a substantial advantage over Republican John McCain when it comes to economic matters.
The survey also finds that nearly half of voters don’t believe that McCain’s running mate, Alaska Gov. Sarah Pain, is qualified to be president should the need arise.
Additionally, more than 60 percent of respondents believe that McCain would “mostly” follow the agenda and policies of President George W. Bush, whose approval rating is mired at 30 percent.
Read it very good. How I miss that Programme. Shame it was canceled. Though I once read an article stating that the influence for the creation of Santos (bartlett's successor) was based on Obama and his post racial politics profile. At the time Obama was not even a Senator.
and Arnold Vinick was based on McCain (McCain 2000 that is not the bastardized version of McCain running now)Originally Posted by riker1969

I think the plan was for the republicans to win the West wing election but when the cancellation came through Sorkin decided to let the Democrats win. Though I would have liked the VP to win-what was his name ? He always wore cowboy boots? Would have been good crack. He might have been a bit more "grey" morally. A bit like a real politician. Bartlett was a bit too goody goody.
They had Arnie due to win untill Sepencer (Leo) died, and they didin't want to end on the depressing note of Santos loosing the election and his VPOriginally Posted by riker1969
