McCain to give undocumented Irish "a path to citizenship"

In a major speech, John McCain has vowed that never again will the sign "No Irish need apply" appear in the USA. He went on to say that the Irish contributed greatly to building America and that the will ensure that his administration will create a pathway to citizenship for the 50,000 undocumented Irish.

It is pleasing to see that McCain remains true to his Irish American roots.

He remains true to his need to target Democrat voters. Will he say the same about Mexicans?

Good to see we're being welcomed now that their economy is going down like an Italian in the penalty box.
Will he also lift the ban on those Irish citizens not supportive of the GFA?

McCain was a leader of the failed effort in Congress last year to overhaul the nation's immigration policies, and told the audience that it was an example of his willingness to take on controversial issues despite the political costs -- a point McCain has been making of late in ads playing on Spanish-language radio stations in key states, but by and large eschewed before non-Hispanic audiences.

I would not be at all surprised if this "path to citizenship" involves a 2 year enlistment in the US army.

Roisin Mc Aliskey was awarded the Freedom of New York in the 70s. Only last year she travelled there to speak at a public debate regarding the process in Ireland. She was refused entry to the very city she received the "freedom" of. RSF and the 32csm have legitimate offices in Ireland and Britain but their members are banned from entering the States.
It's political discrimination intended to boost the likes of Adams who has realigned himself with the establishment parties in Ireland and the U.S.
