Liquidate labour, liquidate stocks, liquidate the farmers, liquidate real estate.
Yeah, a PDF posted on the McCain website should pull those monsters off her case.
So all this http://www.dailykos.com/story/2008/9...477/878/581881 is lies? Wow.. thanks. I mean who would have thought that the AIP hired an impersonator to speak at their convention...Originally Posted by Defeated Romanticist

Yeah, I mean God forbid that anyone would ever criticise a woman. What's her gender got to do with anything? The fact she's an ultra-conservative right-winger is more likely to be the cause of people's dislike of her.Originally Posted by Defeated Romanticist

Jim Leach (Former GOP congressman) spoke at the DNC, Zell Miller gave the keynote address at the 2004 GOP address while still a sitting Democratic senator. I don't see your point.Originally Posted by BodyofEvidence
Ths AIP is hardly a fringe movement of nutters. It elected a governor FFS.
See how she referred to the party as "your party" not "my party". "Made up of the hardest working Americans in the nation", nationalistic separatist rhetoric if I ever heard it.

Party officials must have been lying so...
Daily TelegraphLynette Clark, the chairman of the Alaskan Independence Party (AIP), confirmed to ABC News that Mrs Palin and her husband Todd had both been both members and attended at least one party convention.
"When she joined the party our platform was right under her nose," Mrs Clark said. "I can't understand why in God's name she has aligned herself with a candidate who opposes the development of our republic and Alaska's resource wealth," she added.

The records show that they are. The AIP themselves claims their membership number based on registration. By that count she was not a member. Any suggestion otherwise is a smear.Originally Posted by Fr. Hank Tree

DR - do you applaud her love of banning books also?
From http://www.time.com/time/printout/0,...837918,00.htmlas mayor, Palin continued to inject religious beliefs into her policy at times. "She asked the library how she could go about banning books," he says, because some voters thought they had inappropriate language in them. "The librarian was aghast." That woman, Mary Ellen Baker, couldn't be reached for comment, but news reports from the time show that Palin had threatened to fire Baker for not giving "full support" to the mayor.
Even if she was not a paper member the fact that she recorded a video for the AIP convention shows that she more than has sympathy for their principles. The main issues here I think is not the merits or demerits of Sarah Palin but the fact that the McCain team picked her without knowing all these things. C4 News alleged tonight that the extent of the campaign's vetting process was to look her up in Google. Whatever the quality of her as a candidate from now, the fact is that McCain took a risk that may or may not pay off, and that brings into question his judgement.
